To whom it may concern, Iÿhad a visit & quotation from Paul Vyverberg this morning (07:30) re two Daikin split systems for my apartment in Bentleigh. As is normal, I’d also sourced two other quotes from local Daikin dealers. Whilst the prices for all quotes were virtually identical, my reason for choosing McKinnon Heating was largely swayed by Paul’s punctuality, professionalism & prompt e-mail of my quote. The quote was also very well written up & explained, in detail, exactly what I?d asked for & what he recommended. Just to let you know how our air con is doing. As you may remember our address, you recommended servicing our existing, under powered builtin and adding a split system. Damian and his colleague came to my house yesterday to fix my heating system. He arrived on time, was professional and tidy in his work, fixed the problem and provided a clear explanation as to what the problem had been. Brilliant, thank you Damian.

We had 4 wall mounted heating and cooling units installed last week on 27 and 28 Jan (Hillside Parade, Glen Iris, account name: Alexander). I just wanted to pass on some positive feedback (which I feel is rarely done) about the service. Firstly, Rob came to do the quote and I found him so pleasant to deal with – he was honest about the fact the Daikin units were more expensive but could tell me why you would choose one unit over the other. His manner alone made me more likely to go with your company (over the quotes we received which were on par cost wise). The 3 installers you sent were fabulous and so incredibly kind. They removed their shoes upon entering the home every time and being heavily pregnant even helped me move some excess cardboard I had acquired during the move. They wiped the walls down and vacuumed after their own mess – it was such a refreshing experience! They were also incredibly polite. What topped it off was that on Wednesday when they left I mentioned I had to leave the house early on Thursday to attend work and asked if they could be here at 830 at the latest. They sent one person early (Mark I think it was – apologies if not the correct name) who arrived at 8AM and said I could leave when ready – very thoughtful and removed the stress from my morning. He also called me when they were leaving on Thursday to ask if the dogs would be OK and should they be left inside with an impending storm – I was so touched by the care. I’ve already spoken with my colleagues about the service and have already recommended you guys. Hi McKinnon Heating In the last week of April you removed my existing ducted heating unit; & installed a new Brivis ducted heating unit; as well as temporarily removing 2 condensers of split systems whilst the roof was replaced by another company. I was quite anxious about how effectively & easily this replacement would go – but all went extremely well. From submitting a quote to final installation of 4 Daikin units and relocation of an existing unit, McKinnon Heating and Cooling provided a professional service and high quality installation. As sometimes occurs once on site one problem arose due to the nature of our existing double solid brick wall structure however the installation team explained to us the different installation options and still suggested the more difficult method as it would provide the best finish.

Justin from McKinnon Heating and Cooling was fantastic to deal with. He provided me with clear and detailed explanation of what was required, took the time to measure and calculate the size of the hydronic heating panels and therefore the size of system required and dealt with the tenants. I would highly recommend Justin and McKinnon Heating and Cooling.

Recently McKinnon Heating and Cooling installed an inverter for me. It was a very professional experience dealing with this company. They confirmed their appointment to come and quote. Craig arrived on time to do so. He checked out my old inverter and advised the process to replace it with a new one. He discussed with me the options available and quoted me accordingly. After accepting the quote I was contacted by the service department and a suitable time for the installer to come was arranged. He arrived on time and fully prepared to carry out the work. Three months ago McKinnon replaced our very old heating and cooling units with new ones. Three months on everything is working efficiently and quietly. In mid February 2019, McKinnon installed a new revers cycle Air Conditioning unit. The installation went smoothly and completed without fuss. It is working well as one would expect. I was very impressed with both Craig, from the quoting side, and Scott and his team from the installation side. The quote was quite a bit higher than the other quote that I received but the attention to detail that Craig went into to make sure that we knew exactly what was involved to change over the units gave me confidence that the outcome would be better. Scott dealt calmly and cheerfully with any roadblocks that the installation threw up and it was obvious that he wasn’t going to take any shortcuts to get the job done properly.I’m very pleased with the results.

Just a quick note about your Hydronic Heating tradesmen who finished installing our new heating system at Laburnum Street, Brighton yesterday. Better ambassadors for your company would be very hard to find. They turn up on time, work without stopping and more important clean up after themselves. My wife and I were very impressed. They explained everything to us about the system, put in the units exactly where we wanted them, and nothing was too much trouble for them. Whilst under the floor I asked them to check on any dampness. They were only too happy to give me a report. No dampness. I cannot recommend your tradesman highly enough and to top it off they were always cheerful and happy doing the installation. A job well done.

I was impressed with your recent installation of a split system domestic wall mounted unit, replacing a very old unit. The existing unit had the condenser some distance from the wall unit: not an ideal spot. The obvious new condenser location on the back deck was rejected by myself—too unsightly. The McKinnon solution was clever and imaginative: high up on a wall under the eaves of the roof. Almost invisible, and freeing up the old location at ground level. I came to your Moorabbin store this morning with a non working remote for a Panasonic split system we bought from you. Firstly I dealt with Jodie who was very polite and helpful, but Kelly stepped up and said I might know the problem. She then proceeded to clean all battery terminals and extended springs with a paper clip. Put the batteries back in and BINGO, working fine again. Hi Rob, I’ve had this on my “”to do list”” since mid-January, but somehow other things seem to have got in the way!ÿ My apologies for that! Just wanted to say a very belated “”thank you”” for your help and advice re the installation of air-conditioning at 78 Pickles Street in South Melbourne. ÿ We didn’t have a huge number of hot days after the air-conditioning was installed, but we certainly had a few, and it was very much appreciated.ÿ I certainly need to install a better blind in the skylight in the living room – the temperature in the kitchen area was certainly a lot cooler than the living room, however the blind will be done before next summer, and I think it will make a big difference. The bedroom is fine, and heaps cooler on the few hot nights we had.ÿ I am still getting used to the unit on the front verandah, however I do realise there was no alternative, and it will certainly look better when I finally get round to replacing the cumquat trees which were there previously. The guys who did the installation were great – they certainly seemed to work together as a team, they cleaned up after they had finished, and left no mess at all. ÿ I would certainly have no hesitation in recommending McKinnon Heating and Cooling, and once again my sincere apologies for not getting in touch earlier – I certainly appreciated your help. Just writing to say thanks for the work done on our hydronic system last week and also to say how impressed we were with AJ and Dara. Very polite, considerate, calm, very capable. We can’t speak highly enough of them. It was a pleasure to have them here. Looking forward to their return on 15 December to finish the job. I should say we were impressed with Peter as well. He spent a lot of time with us, to finally get to a plan that worked for us. We are very impressed with McKinnon. Hopefully by the time AJ returns in December I will have worked out how to get the best out of our system. Already we think it is great but still a bit confused why some panels don’t seem to come on when the rest do (might be a TRV issue) and why ‘energy saving’ mode doesn’t kick in when temperature drops below set temperature. I’m sure it is user error and AJ will be able to set me straight. Best wishes Trevor
